Surface preparation video
Installation Guide 02
Adhesive Mount
Follow the surface-preparation steps and complete the full, unloaded cure period before adding gear.
Choose the right surface
Recommended Surfaces
- Smooth painted drywall with well-adhered paint
- Finished wood
- Glass
- Metal
- Smooth tile
Not Recommended
- Textured walls
- Wallpaper
- Loose, peeling, poorly bonded, or damaged paint
- Dusty or dirty surfaces
- Unfinished wood
- Porous masonry such as brick or concrete block
Adhesive performance depends on both proper installation and the condition of the wall surface. If paint is poorly bonded to the drywall, the adhesive may pull paint from the wall rather than release cleanly.
Follow in order
Step-by-step installation
- Choose the mounting location.
- Clean the wall thoroughly with 70%+ isopropyl alcohol.
- Allow the wall to dry completely.
- Position the mounts before removing the adhesive backing.
- Remove the backing and press each mount firmly against the wall for at least 30 seconds.
- Leave the mounts completely unloaded for 72 hours.
- Install the organizer and add gear only after the full cure period.
Install the accessory mounts. Slide each accessory mount onto the rack from the top or bottom. If needed, apply gentle, even pressure to slightly spread the round opening as it passes onto the rack.
